Mybreastpump’s Response To Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As the impact of COVID-19 is felt more widely throughout our community we’d like to outline the comprehensive and strictly adhered to hygiene processes that Medi-Rent has always and will continue to follow. We also share with you the additional processes and safeguards that we have implemented to ensure the safety and security of our clients, staff and the wider community.

A World Class Standard of Cleaning…

Medi-Rent has always taken great pride in the systems and processes we’ve put in place to ensure our products are clean, functional and safe. Our cleaning and processing procedures exceed Australian New Zealand Standards; these standards are amongst the highest in the world.

To further protect our staff and clients we have introduced Ozone Sanitisation of all products on entry to our cleaning facilities; this process isolates equipment in a chamber, before saturating it with Ozone gas. Ozone gas has been proven to kill 99.99% of bacteria, and through its gaseous composition is effective at permeating even the most hard-to-reach areas of the equipment.

We are implementing these additional measures because we understand that like us, our clients and the community are feeling anxious about the impact of COVID-19, and we want to offer you assurance that we’re doing what we can to protect you.

Staff Welfare

We have a strict stay-home policy if any of our staff are unwell. At times, if any staff test positive for COVID we make as many staff work from home as possible to reduce any cross infection. The warehouse has been split into shifts to minimise staff contact and a thorough clean of the warehouse and cleaning facility is completed between shifts.

Our Ongoing Support

As health authorities necessarily restrict the numbers of visitors to their facilities, Medi-Rent will continue to ensure that health professionals are well equipped and supported when using our product offerings. Through the use of new and emerging technologies, our sales team and clinical specialists are able to engage with clinicians to support patients’ healthcare needs, even if remotely. We will do this through the use of teleconferencing, video chat, and webinars and through our new dedicated Learning Hub for health professionals.

As far as is possible and safe it will be business as usual for us and you can still expect the same standard of care, service and education.

If you have any questions about the steps that we’re taking, we welcome the opportunity to speak to you.
